Come out from winter hibernation and go “green” in Cape May this coming St. Patrick’s
Day weekend as Cape May Forum partners with Slow Food South Jersey Shore to host “Forum on the Green: A Farm-to-Table
Dinner at Congress Hall on Friday, March 16, at 6pm.
Cape May's acclaimed Farm-to-Table Executive Chef Lucas
Manteca of the Virginia Hotel's Ebbitt Room will craft this uniquely “green” dining experience with the freshest
of ingredients from Beach Plum Farm, and other local sources. Join us in the Congress Hall Ballroom at 6pm for an unforgettable
five-course dinner beginning appetizers of locally made cheeses and a raw-bar of fresh Cape May Salts oysters from Delaware
Bay.
Then at 7pm, sit down to a delicate (locally raised) chicken soup infused with seasonal herbs and vegetables,
followed by a local garden salad. Your choice of entrees includes a specially prepared chicken, seafood, or a winter cassoulet
with local pork, sausage and beans. A vegan entrée option is also offered. Dessert selections include cheesecake made
with cheese from local milk, along with vegan and allergy free options. A complimentary glass of local wine will be offered
with dinner, and there will be a cash bar.
